Scenic Tisaniere

This is a very attractive tisaniere / veilleuse or tea pot warmer made in France in the early 19th century in the Paris region. It consists of four parts - the teapot on lid and the warmer with the underside piece where the candle would have gone. The set is handpainted with a nice landscape design, lots of gilding and a ring of "pearls" to the top part of the tower. The teapot has a figural spout but it's hard to tell because the gilding hides it. A very decorative piece to have around! The set is complete, all original and in very good condition. It has some wear to the gilding but fairly minimal compared to most in this style. No chips or repairs or such. The teapot underside and the bottom part are marked with the usual incised mark in this case five lines which is ncie since it shows the teapot is the original one to the bottom. The entire piece is 9.25 inches tall and the bottom has a diameter of 4.625 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
