Really Nice Floral Cup & Saucer

This is a really nice cup and saucer made by one of the Paris makers around 1800. One of the nicest floral cups I have seen by them and probably done by one of the top makers liek Dagoty or Nast . The cup has a nice shape to it and is hand painted with a nice floral arrangement to the front with the area around the flowers gilded with a vermicelli tooled type ground and a gold frame with a tooled design around that. The rest of the piece has a purple ground with tiny gold dots throughout and a gold trim to the edge. Even the inside of the cup is msotly gilded with a design aroun the top. Superb handle shappe with a gold and white design to it and a fullt gilded foot. The saucer has the same purple and gold design to it. They look really stunning and with all that fine detail work it must ahve taken ages to complete them. Definitely worth the effort! The set is in perfect condition with just some wear to the well edge of the saucer! There are two discolored lines to the underside rim of the saucer. Not sure what these are from but they are not hairlines or other damage! The set is unmarked which is common for Paris makers around that time. I always wonder why they did not take more pride in their work and mark these top pieces!? The cup is 4.125 inches tall (including the handle) and 3.125 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.375 inches tall and 5.5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
