Pearlware Cup #3

This is a Pearlware fluted handleless cup and saucer. British in the making, but oriental in design, this set shows the bluish cast to the glaze which indicates pearlware rather than porcelain. C. 1795. The saucer has a diameter of 5 and 5/8 inches, and the cup is a little taller than usual. The glaze has crazed, which often happens over time, and there is a hidden chip inside the footrim.
