Rosenthal Falcon Figurine

This is a porcelain bird figurine made by Rosenthal during WWI in 1917. It is of a Falcon on top of a column painted in the rare under glaze colors of the Art Nouveau / Jugenstil period. The bird has one wing stretched out and is looking down to spot it's next prey. A really well modeled piece that is hand painted perfectly. Originally modeled by Karl Himmelstoss during this period. The figure is in perfect condition and is marked underneath with the green Rosenthale mark with Kunst- Abteilung Selb-Bavaria under it as shown in the pictures and the WWI mark of the iron cross and the year marks 1914 and 1917. Lighlty impressed K106 and on the back of the base K. Himmelstoss in brown. The figurine is 6.5 inches tall, 2.75 inches wide and 3.25 inches deep. Please email me for more information or photos.
