Rosenthal Couple Figurine

This is a nice figurine of a pair of lovers with the gentleman serenading his lady made by Rosenthal around 1923. A nice size figure with the lady lying down with one arm resting on the leg of the gentleman who is kneeling while playing his guitar type instrument. The base has a nice shape to it. The lady is fairly plain with an off colored dress anda white rose in her hand while the gentleman is dressed in grey pants, a black shirt and blue cloth plus a black hat. Not sure what the subject is but it's possibly from some sort of opera. Either way a superb figurine and fun to look at. Would make a nice gift for your lady :) The piece was modeled by the famous Kalr Himmelstoss in 1923 and is model number 691 though this piece does not ahve the model number yet so it's early. The figurine is in perfect conditionwith a small firing flaw on her skirt by her front leg - a little glaze flaw. Displays perfectly. It is marked underneath with the green Rosenthale mark withSelb- Bavaria underneath as well as an impressed 8 and two lines but not by the mark so no second choice piece or anything like that. Also a blue mark under the mark but too blurred to make it out. The top of the base has K. Himmelstoss impressed by the guy's left foot. The piece is about 5.75 inches tall, 5.25 inches wide and 9.75 inches long. Please email me for more information or photos.
