Rosenthal Night Song Figurine

This is a superb figurine made by Rosenthal during the mid 20th century probably in 1957. It is one of those figures that just speaks to you - hard to describe but it is an amazingly modeled piece with lots of movement and detail. The figure is of the angel Lucifer (Der Engel Luzifer ) modeled by Waldemar Fritsch in 1951 which depicts the dancer Harald Kreutzberg in the dance "Night Song" dancing to the music of Johannes Brahms . Absolutely stunning piece and in perfect condition which never hurts :) The piece has the modeleur's name W. Fritsch as well as the year 51 incised into the back of the base and the green Rosenthal mark underneath as well as the model number 1864 and an impressed 23. The figurine is 11.75 inches tall, 10 inches wide and 6 inches deep. Please email me for more information or photos.
