Rosenthal Peacock Figurine

This is asuperb porcelain peacock bird figurine made by Rosenthal in the 1940 though I am not exactly sure of the exact year because the date coding is missing. A rare model that the tail of the peacock bird fanned out completely! It was designed by the famous Fritz Heidenreich whoe name is impressed into the back base. A really superb figure that is very Art Nouveau in feeling with that amazing tail and the nice blues of the bird itself. A naturalistic base makes it all come together. A really well modeled piece that is hand painted perfectly. The figurine is in perfect condition and is marked underneath with the green Rosenthale mark with Kunstabteilung Selb with Handgemalt under that (hand painted), the letter V with a dot to either side, the letter B and number 7. Impressed model #1611 and a number 17 as shown. The figurine is of a nice size being 7.25 inches tall, 9 inches wide and 4 inches deep. Please email me for more information or photos.
