Rosenthal Harlequin Figurine

This is a fun porcelain figurine made by Rosenthal in the 20th century - 1955 to be exact. A hard to find example by a great maker. The figure is of a Harlequin / Jester / Clown and was originally designed by Richard Förster who is quite famous among their modelers. A fun figurine that is well modeled with lots of playful details and hand painted nicely. The piece is in great condition but the front part of the stick he is holding in his right hand is broken off. A very common issue with the model. It is marked underneath with the green Rosenthale mark with Selb-Plössberg under it as well as Germany with a dot to either side. Impressed number 162 and R. Förster impressed on the back of the base as shown. The figurine is 5.5 inches tall, 2.75 inches wide and 1.75 inches deep. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $299
