Early Rosenthal Sphinx Figurine

This is a rare porcelain figurine made by Rosenthal in about 1900. I have never seen such an early figurine by them nor have I been able to find this piece anywhere so it is definitely something special. It is a figurine made up of an egyptian lady's head and bust, lion feet and eagle wings with some scroll work at the bottom end. The base is rectangular and quite perfect for this piece. The figurine is in superb condition with no issues at all. It is marked udnerneath with the really early Rosenthal R C under a crown, etc. mark as shown. There are two holes cut into the bottom of the base but what purpose they served I am unsure. The figurine is just under 8 inches tall, 2.25 inches wide and 8.5 inches long. Please email me for more information or photos.
