Bird Figural Candlestick

This is a a relaly nice figural piece made by Royal Vienna around 1760. I am unsure of its purpose. Could be a chandleholder or something holding a teat or something special like a ring. Never seen that shape up top before. Either way it is a superbly modeled piece left in the white to show off all that detail. It has a little bird figurine in the cetner with scrolls coming off the base on either side - one covered with flower garlands and the other with leaves. Behind the bird is a tree with its leaves. The top is a tiny reticulated basket. The base is simple with just a single scroll to the left side. The entire piece looks amazing and it is in superb condition with the major issue being one of the rim pieces of the basket is missing. It's towards the back and not really very obvious. A few leaves have some damage but most of those are glazed so from when the piece was made. It displays really nicely. The piece is is 5.625 inches tall, 4.5 inches wide and 3 inches deep. Marked underneath with the under glaze blue shield mark and an impressed H as shown. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $749
