Chocolate Ground & Floral Plate

This is a really nice botanical specimen plate made by Royal Vienna. Date wise this motif style was used in their later years but this plate does not have a date code. So either something slipped through the cracks or the stamp was toto light or it is an earlier plate than they usually are which I doubt. Could be since it also does not have the usual latin name in black for the flower on the front. So a bit of an oddball piece but it was definitely made and painted by them and would date to the 1830s more than likely. Either way the piece is superbly painted with a pink flower including the blossoms, stem and leaves on a chcolate brown ground. The well of the plate has a thick gold trim around its edge with the rim having an off white ground color to it and more gold trim to the edge. All hand painted off course! A really stunning look. This looks to be a pink (or rose) colored version of the forget me not flower which is less common than the typical blue one but does exist. The plate is in great condition with a couple of scratches to the brown ground. Most are minor but one was colored in a bit to hide it better. One bigger brown firing spot to the back edge from when it was made. The piece is 1.5 inches tall and 9.5 inches in diameter. It is marked with the blue shield mark as shown.
