Lady Portrait Cup& Saucer

This is a chocolate cup and saucer made by Royal Vienna in the 18th century. Both pieces are handpainted with a great portrait of a lady as well as some nice fancy gold trim. There is some French writing under the pictures but I am unsure what they say. On the saucer it says Coeur de Charles - Heart of Charles so probably one of the many ladies of King Charles and on the cup it states a la como... the last few letters are either illegible or gone totally so since my French isn't that good I cannot figure out the last word. Maybe this is a cup and saucer from the famous hairstyles set made by Vienna?? Nice handle shape also highlighted with gilding. The set is in great condition with some minor wear to the gilding and one flat chip to the footring of the cup which would be an easy fix. The cup is 2.875 inches tall and 2.625 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. The bottom of both is marked with the blue beehive / shield mark as well as some hard to read impressed marks. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $749
