Scenic Cup & Saucer w/nice Trim

This is a superb cup and saucer made by Vienna in about 1791 pretty much in the middle of my favorite period of theirs the Sorgenthal period. The cup has a really nice hand painted scene to the front including a gentleman holding a dead duck with his two dogs on one side and rifle on the other in a nice landscape surrounding. The saucer has a scene in the center of a dog sitting in the woods with some dead ducks lying on the ground. Both scenes are surrounded by a simple gold line trim with the rim of each having a matching fancy gold trim to it that is really quite nice looking. The cup has a typical handle shape of the period with a bit of gilding to it as well. The scenes are of a very nice quality! Both are marked with the underglaze blue shield mark as well as an impressed 91 for 1791 as well as an impressed 39. Two painter's marks on is a 13 for Franz Bernhardt and a 105 for the gilder Johann Stelzig I believe. Both pieces are in great condition with just two spots each where the paint has flaked off a bit. Both were colored in a little to hide them perfectly when on display but I tried to show them in the pictures. The cup is 2.25 inches tall and has a diameter of 2.375 inches. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
