Samson Boy with Goat

This is a figurine made by Samson in the 19th century. It is a good example of his skills and was even used as a comparison in a Hoechst book. It is of a putti getting on a goat to ride it. A very well modeled piece and handpainted quite well, too. The figurine is in great condition with a restored horn to the goat and the tail has a spot painted over as well it seems. The figurine is marked underneath with the underglaze blue wheel mark with the crown on top as well as some impressed marks and the Samson mark as shown.
