Superb Floral Vase

This is a superb vase made I think by a German maker called Schlaggenwald in the 19th century. Definitely a Bohemian looking pieces rather than French in terms of paste and decoration. The vase has a really nice shape to it with a large central opening and lots of little single holes all around the top. Imagine putting some nice flowers in the middle and then grasses or leaves in all the little holes - it would look stunning! The main body has a large hand painted floral arrangement to the front and back with a smaller arrangement as well as a single flower to each side. The foot / base of the piece has two small single flowers and leaves to it. Lots of gold trim all around the piece. A really nice looking piece that would be great to display flowers. The vase is marked underneath with a gold letter S as shown. It is 6.375 inches tall and 4.25 inches in diameter. It is in perfect condition. Please email me for more information or photos.
