Schoelcher Floral Plate #1

This is a superb Empire Period plate made by Schoelcher in the early 19th century. It has a great reddish ground on the rim (I think it's officially called claret ground) with about as amazing and typical a gold design as you could find for this period. My favorite part is the amazing and large floral arrangement in the center which looks stunning when on display! The plate is in great condition with a tiny bit of wear but about as good a condition as one could wish for. It is marked underneath with the red Schoelcher mark as well as some incised marks typical for this region and period. The plate is 1.25 inches tall and 8.875 inches in diameter. And to top it off I have a matching second plate if you would like to display a pair. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
