Blanc De Chine Blackamoor Figurine #3

This is a figurine made by the Schwarzburger Werkstätten around 1931 when he was first designed. That means he is one of the rare original pieces. I have not come across a white version of this piece before but it is just as stunning as their painted ones (which I have an example off for sale on the site as well). It is because the modelling is just amazing on thee figures! So much detail. One of a set of four and I have two others as well so I just need one more to finish the set :) The figure is of a blackmoor holding a fruit platter in front of him that looks rather tasty! He is wearing a turban with an ornament to the front and a nice flowing set of pants. Typical rectangular base with a nice shape to it. The piece is in great condition with just a few glaze lines to the underside base (not hairlines!) and some very minor roughness including a very tiny chip to the bottom edge. Probably from when he was made. He displays perfectly! The piece is the smaller version being about 7 inches tall, 2.125 inches wide and 4 inches long. He is marked with the under glaze blue fox mark as well as the model number U 749 and the impressed stamp stating Schwarzburger Werkstaetten für Porzellankunst. Impressed on top of the base we find the artist initials HM for Hugo Meisel. In blue we have the remnants of Made in Germany above glaze on the underside. Under the platter we have H.Meisel 1931.
