Cockatoo Bird Figurine

This is a figurine of a cockatoo bird made by the Schwarzburger Werkstätten in the earlier 20th century. It waas designed by Helene Ruoff I believe in 1918. Not a model one sees often but it is superb. Really nicely modeled with a bit of hand painted details to the eyes, beak and feet. A stunning and quite large figure that is in perfect condition! The piece is 11.375 inches tall tall, 5.25 inches wide and about 8 inches deep. The piece is marked on the side of the base with the incised artist mark and underneath with the model number U1118 and the impressed fox mark as shown.
