Blanc De Chine Gentleman Figurine

This is a nice balnc de chine figurine of an 18th century gentleman made by the Schwarzburger Werkstätten für Porzellankunst in the early 20th century when it was first designed. He was modeled by the famous Marta Schlameus during this period. She did quite a few pieces for this maker. She lives from 1876 until 1961 and was a modeller, painter, etc. . The figure is of a gentleman in traditional clothing and hairstyle of the 18th century. He is holding a hat in front of him. Nice base with an Art Nouveau look to it. The white figures by this maker have an amazing look to them. Unlike any other in the porcelain world! The base has her initials impressed into it MS as shown. The figure is in perfect condition. He is 9.5 inches tall, 3.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches deep. The figure is marked with the impressed fox mark as well as the number 46 so a failry early model. Also the impressed stamp stating Schwarzburger Werkstaetten fuer Porzellankunst and Made in Germany in blue though that almost entirely scratched away. Not sure why. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
