Amazing Reticulated Cup & Saucer

This is a really stunning cup and saucer made by Sevres around 1882. This is the fancier reticualtion one can find on thei pieces not the more simple honeycomb design. More of a floral look to it with two gold lines around the center well and a gold trim to the edge as well as tiny gold dots in the centers of the "flowers" along the rim. The cup is double walled the outside wall also being reticulated with a bit of gold trim. Bamboo style handle with some gilding to it as well. I am always amazed at these pieces when they do come along especially with the reticulation not having any dmage to it after all these years! The set is in great condition with a tiny stray gold dot in the saucer well and a chip to the underside foot ring of the saucer as shown. It does not take away from the piece at all! The saucer is 5.75 inches in diameter and the cup is 2.125 inches tall and 3.25 inches in diameter. So it is a larger version. Both pieces are marked underneath with the green oval Sevres mark the saucer having the S.81. and the cup S.76. and the gilders mark in red Dore a Sevres with the year 82 for 1882. It is very common for their undecorated wares to have different year marks as long as the gilder's marks are within a year of year other Some incised marks typical for Sevres of this period. They are hard to read but are there. A stunning set that is quite rare! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
