Amazing Art Nouveau Box

This is an amazing and very rare box made by Sevres in the early 20th century. It is decorated on the top with lots of bugs caught inside a spider web and more bugs all around the side of the box. Not sure what kind of bugs these are but they could be dragonflies or Mayflies. Eitherway they are very nicely done and the peice fits perfectly into the Art Nouveau period with this look. The purplish body as well as the turquoise wings are a thick enamel that is raised off the porcelain with gold trim to the wings. The top edge of the main body and bottom edge of the lid are highlighted with gilding. Gold trim to the bottom edge of the main body. The box and lid are in perfect condition. The box is 2 inches tall and 3.5 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the green triangular S over the year 1908 Sevres mark as shown as well as the red Decore a Sevres mark with the year 1910, the usual impressed marks one finds on authentic Sevres of this period and a gold artist mark or number as shown. A stunning piece! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
