Large Nicely Shaped Vase

This is a nicely shaped large vase made by Sevres in 1877/ 1882. It has a bulbous shape with a thin neck that flares a bit at the top. Little bulb decoration in the neck. The vase is covered in a deep cobalt blue ground color with just some simple gold trim to strategic location to make it look very elgant. Not often one finds these larger examples and this shape it very nice! The vase is in great condition with one area of a few spots to the cobalt blue color. Something happend to this color sometimes over time that make it look like this. I ahve seen it on cobalt blue from all different makers. Does not distract when on display as it needs to be held at the right angle to show. It displays perfectly! It is marked underneath with the oval S.77. mark in green for 1877 as well as the red circular Dore a Sevres mark for 1882 as shown. There are also the usual incised marks one finds on authentic Sevres pieces as well as an artist mark as shown. The vase is 12.75 inches tall and about 5.5 inches in diameter at the widest part.
