Cobalt Blue Vase w/Amazing Gilding

This is a nicely shaped and amazingly gilded vase made by Sevres in 1892. It has a bulbous shape with a thin neck that flares a bit at the top. The vase is covered in that superb deep cobalt blue ground color on top of which there is an extremely well done gilding design. Nice than most I ahve come across. A stunning looking example! The design includes leaves and flowers with lots of scrolls and even some birds. The vase is in great condition with some minor touch ups of the gold the worst being on one of the birds as shown. Not visible unless you search for it. It displays perfectly! The vase is marked underneath with the oval S.92. mark as well a their harder to find mark for Decore a Sevres 1892 instead of the Dore a Sevres I guess since it is not jsut gilded but there is an actual design to the gold. There are also the usual incised marks one finds on authentic Sevres pieces as shown. Old sticker residue in the cente underneath. The vase is 8.875 inches tall and about 4.75 inches in diameter at the widest part. The top opening is 1.625 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
