Coffee Can & Saucer

This is a great coffee can cup and saucer made by Sevres during the 18th century in 1772. This set is made of soft paste porcelain which just has a stunning warmth to it and the enamel colors are just superb! Both pieces are hand painted with some superb floral arrangements as well as a nice gold trim. They are both marked underneath with the interlaced L mark and each has the little hole from the firing process typical of Sevres plus the usual incised marks as shown. Both have the letter T as the date code for 1772, the saucer has the v. as the painter's mark and the cup has another painter's mark I cannot quite make out as shown. The set is in superb condition with some wear to the gilding on the very edge of the saucer. They display perfectly. The cup is 2.375 inches tall and 2.25 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 4.75 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
