Sevres Floral Cup & Saucer

This is a really nice cup and saucer made by Sevres during the 18th century in 1775 I believe thought I am not what letter it is. Looks like an x to me but judge for yourself. Either way it is an 18th century example! This set is made of soft paste porcelain which just has a stunning warmth to it and the enamel colors are just superb! Both pieces are hand painted with some superb floral arrangements as well as a nice gold trim. The cup has an intertwined branch design handle with gold highlights to it. They are both marked underneath with the interlaced L mark with the letter x (I think) inside and each has the little hole from the firing process typical of Sevres. The saucer has some incised marks as shown. Both have four dots as the painter's mark as well as a squiggly line on the saucer. The four dots are for Theordore who was a decorator and gilder at the factory from 1765 until 1779. Not sure who that squiggly line is meant to represent. The set is in superb condition with just one spot of gold wear on the cup rim and two on the saucer outside edge. As nice as they come and a great example of this style! The cup is 1.875 inches tall and 3.125 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 4.75 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
