Sevres Hurdy Gurdy Player Figurine

This is a great figurine made by Sevres in about 1760. It is made of biscuit porcelain (unglazed porcelain) and is of a gentleman playing the hurdy gurdy. Not sure who made this model but it came with some other pieces by Falconet who might have made this piece as well. I cannot find this exact model and it is not clearly marked except for some writing underneath of the letters fs and possibly some more but I cannot make them out. The figure is superbly modeled and left in the white and unglazed to show off all that detail. The figurine is in great condition with a good restoration to his right arm, the handle of the instrument as well as the corner of the base under his left foot. He displays perfectly but could use a bit of a cleaning. He is 4.625 inches tall, 2.125 inches wide and 2 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1249
