Leaf Garland & Roses Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer made by Sevres in the 18th century- 1780 to be exact. This shape cup is called a gobelet litron I believe. The set is hand painted with some really nice roses including buds and leaves as well as a leaf garland to the rims and around the well of the saucer with a gold trim to the edge. The enamels on soft paste porcelain is stunning much nicer than hard paste if you have never owned a piece. They are both marked underneath with the interlaced L mark in blue with the date code CC for 1780 and the artist mark for Fountaine (J.) who was a painter from 1752 until 1807. There is another artist mark on the saucer but I cannot figurie out who it was for. Typical incised marks to the paste and each has the little hole from the firing process. The saucer is in superb condition with just a touch of use marks and the cup displays perfectly but the handle has been off and reglued and tehre is a chip to the bottom terminal. The cup is 2.625 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.375 inches tall and 5.5 inches in diameter. There is an old dealer business card that came with the piece which states (if I read it correctly) that the mark I cannot ID is that of Sioux june though my book has no record of this artist. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
