Marie Antoinette Bust

This is a large biscuit figurine of the famous Marie Antoinette made by Sevres in 1881. The bust is made of unglazed bisque or biscuit porcelain and is extremely well modeled with lots of superb details. A stunning piece and the blue ground colored base with the gold trim only brings it out even more. Just in case on didn't know who she was her name is on the front of the base :) The piece is in perfect condition with two or three extremely minor chips that look to be mostly from the manufacturing process. A bit of dirt in a spot or two but all in all about as good an example as you can find! The bust is marked on the back by her shoulders with the impressed Sevres mark as well as the letter M 80 10. The base has the green Sevres mark year mark 81 in an oval type shape as well as the red gilder's mark and the usual incised marks of this period. She is 12.5 inches tall, about 7 inches wide and 4 inches deep. I have the matching bust of her husband Louis 16th as well and it is almost impossible to find the pair! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
