Bird Scene Lidded Dish

This is an amazing lidded dish made by Sevres in the later 20th century or to be more exact in 1995. I guess this would be considered a giant sugar bowl but could be used for a number of things due to its nice size. If you like 18th century Sevres but want an absolutely perfect example (which does not exist from back then) this is your best option here :) The dish is decorated with a superb turquoise ground color with two hand painted polychrome bird scenes on white ground on the main body and three on the lid. Each scene on the main body has two birds in a landscape surrounding while the ones on the lid have a single bird in a landscape surrounding. Each scene is surrounded with the most amazing gold trim of flowers with lots of tooled details. Gold trim to the edges and a really nice floral finial to the lid including three leaves with gold highlights and a superb pink blossom. A little buttefly to the inside probably to hide a tiny firing imperfection. It really does not get any better than this and I have not seen a redo of an 18th century piece before so they cannot be common at all. A truly stunning piece!!! Both pieces are perfect condition. The main body is marked underneath as shown with the green Sevres 95 mark as shown as well as the Dore et Decore a Sevres mark in red, an artist mark plus the usual incised marks to the paste as would expect on an original piece from this period as shown. The dish including the lid is 5.625 inches tall and 4.75 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
