Superb Red & Gold Trim Floral Cup & Saucer

This is a superb cup and saucer made by Sevres in about 1820. It is one of the nicer sets I have come across from this period. The set is superbly painted with a fancy red and gold trim on the saucer as well as the outside of the cup and on the bottom of the cup but the floral garland along the inside rim of the cup just brings this set alive! A top quality cup and saucer! The shape of the cup is really nice as well with a fun handle. The best part is that both are in amazing condition with just a touch of wear mostly to the center well of the saucer. One couldn't hope for a much better cup and saucer :) The saucer is 0.75 inches tall and 5.75 inches in diameter and the cup is 1.625 inches tall (plus the handle) and 3.875 inches in diameter (without the handle). Both pieces are marked underneath with the blue interlaced L mark with the fleur de lis in the center as well as the word Sevres plus the usual incised markings that authentic Sevres porcelain from this period should have but are always hard to decipher. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
