Cherry Blossom Vase

Every once in a while you come across a piece that just speaks to you because of its perfection in both design, decoration as well as condition. This is one of these pieces to me. An amazing vase made by Sevres in 1912. It is decorated with a cherry blossom design on a ground color that goes from very light green on the bottom end to a nice pink towards the top end. The flower petals are done in pate sur pate and thus give an illusion of depth that is amazing and the subtle background colors come through the petals a tiny bit which is amazing. The center of the blossoms are painteed with a light yellow and brown dots and they are connected by brown branches with a few young leaves in between. Gold trim to the top and bottom of the vase. Truly an elegant and stunning piece! The vase is in perfect condition! It is marked extensively to the under side as shown including the blue Sevres mark for 1912, the black gilder's mark as well as artist marks, etc. as shown. The vase is 6.875 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
