Pot de Creme

This is a pot de creme or pot au jus made by Sevres in the 18th century. This type of cup was used for hot chocolate or meat juices (like a strong broth) to drink. It is made of soft paste porcelain and is in perfect condition. The enamel colors of the flowers are amazing and what makes softpaste so much nicer than hard paste. The piece is handpainted with a famous design by them with the flowers and the blue and gold trim. Nice flower finial to lid which is quite fancy. The piece is not marked underneath except for an incised T or 1. Not unheard of that there is not blue interlaced L mark but it's definitely not the norm. The cup and lid are 2.875 inches tall and 2.25 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
