Scenic Saucer

This is a superb saucer made by Sevres in the 18th century or to be more exact in about 1775. It is handpainted with a superb scene in the center surrounded by a gold ring then a superb pink and gold floral rim design and another gold and pink design to the edge. The saucer is in perfect condition. The saucer is marked underneath with the interlaced blue L mark with the letter X in the center and the letter V underneath. The letter V is probably for the painter Mutel who painted landscapes. Also an incised CC. It is made of softpaste porcelain and has the hole for hanging in the kiln near the rim with the black residue inside. The saucer is 1.375 inches tall and 5.625 inches in diameter.
