Superb Demitasse Cup & Saucer

This is a superb little cup and saucer made by Sevres during the 18th century or to be more exact in 1774. This set is made of soft paste porcelain which just has a stunning warmth to it and the enamel colors are just stunning! Both pieces are hand painted with a superb floral design including floral arrangements, a green leaf between each arrangement and a blue dot design highlighted with tiny purple dots and gold dots as the trim along the edge and center. Gilding along the edges and the handle complete a stunning and elegant design. They are both marked underneath with the interlaced L mark with the date code 1774, a painter's mark that I cannot find and the usual inclsed marks one would find on Sevres of this period. The porcelain of this set is a stunning pure white that has almost zero defects which is amazing. The foot rings haven't been ground either so definitely made and painted at Sevres. The saucer has the little hole from the firing process typical of Sevres. The set is in perfect condition with virtually no wear at all! The cup is 1.75 inches tall and 2 inches in diameter. The saucer is 0.875 inches tall and 4.125 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
