Fancy Gold Trim & Blue Cup & Saucer

This is a superb coffee can cup and saucer made by Sevres in 1875. The set is handpainted with their famous deep cobalt blue color with a superb fancy old trim and a floral and leaves gold design to the inside. About as fancy a trim as I have seen for these types of cups and simply stunning. I always love how they even color the underside rim blue - just a ncie touch! The set is in perfect condition which is always a plus. Both pieces are marked underneath - the cup having the green S.75 in an oval in green and the saucer the S.76 in an oval in green. Both also have the red Dore a Sevres mark with the date 1878 in it and the usual incised marks Sevres of this period has as well as the painter's marks. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. The cup is 2.5 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
