St. Cloud Chinoiserie Knife #2

This is a very rare large knife with the handle made by Mennecy around 1725. It is made of a creamy colored softpaste with a colorful Chinoiserie design. The blade is steel which is marked with a head shaped mark. The knife is amazingly complete with the blade which isn't that common. It is in superb condition with some oxidation to the blade, and short crack in the porcelain and the silver collar between the steel blade and porcelain handle has seen better days. There is a tiny bit of wear to the scene but it is in much better shape than one would expect if used. The porcelain is unmarked which is the norm. The knife is 10 inches long of which the visible porcelain handle is about 3.5 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1249
