St. Petersburg Imperial Tsar Nicholas I Sevres Style Plate

This is a great porcelain plate made by the famous imperial factory of St. Petersburg during the reign of Tsar Nicholas I whose reign was from 1825 until 1855. I would date it to the earlier part of his reign due to it being heavily influenced by the French style en vogue during that time. Very much in the Sevres style which was the top maker during this time! I do not know what service this is from but I have had other pieces from it over time. Probably a soup plate. It is decorated with a superb green and gold medallion in the center, a fancy gold design along the edge of the well with a tin and thick band of gilding beyond that. The outer edge of the thick band of gilding has a thing green trim to it. The rim has a fancy gold design to it with the edge having a gold trim and then a green design on pink ground with a tin gold band on the other side. A gold ring around the outer foot ring which is a sure sign of quality! A bit hard to explain but the pictures do tell the story much better! The plate is in great condition with just a touch of wear and use marks - it is about 200 years old after all. It displays very nicely! The dish is marked with the blue N under a crown with the I under it for Czar Nicholas the first. The plate is 1.5 inches tall and 10 inches in diameter.
