St. Petersburg Paul I Plate

This is a porcelain plate made by the famous St. Petersburg factory during the reign of Paul I between 1796 and 1801. The plate is from the Everyday Service used at the Peterhof Palace. The plate is very nicely handpainted with a large floral arrangement in the center, three smaller flowers on the rim with a nice gilded edge. The plate is in used condition so it's very likely the Zsar actually at of this one! The center has some wear and the rim has two small chips that are not bad as well as some wear to the gilding. The plate is 1.375 inches tall and 9.625 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue Π under a crown mark as well as an incised mark near the footring.
