Large Strasbourg Figurine

This is a fairly large figurine made by Strassburg around 1770. Unusual in that is made of unglazed porcelain but that shows the details so much more than regular glazed porcelain! Meant to imitate marble it did a superb job in that! The figurine is larger than any other I have seen by them and is of a man sitting on the ground while leaning against his donkey and drinking froma bowl. Not sure what myth or story this was taken from but I am sure there is something more to the piece than I know! I An amazing figurine! Marked underneath with an impressed H mark with a dot above and the letters and numbers FG75 over AII. The figurine is in good condition with some firing cracks and black firing spots normal to these early pieces as well as a missing and a chipped ear on the donkey, chipped toes to one of the man's feet, his right arm has a clean break that was glued, a chipped item in front of them on the base and some chips along the edge of the bottom base. Sounds worse than it is as the piece displays superbly! The figurine quite heavy and is about 5 inches tall, 9.25 inches wide and 5.75 inches deep.
