Tettau Floral Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer made by Tettau in the 18th century. Tettau was founded by Wilhelm Heinrich Immanuel Greiner with Christian Friedemann Greiner (yes another bunch of the Greiner family!) with the help of the businessman Johann Friedrich Paul in 1794. They are still around today! This cup and saucer is handpainted with a large flower arrangement similar in style and quality to early Wallendorf pieces especially the design on the cup. The cup is marked with an overglaze pink T. mark and the saucer with a pink line mark. Both have an incised mark underneath as well. The set is in great condition with a little wear to the painting on the saucer. The cup is 1.75 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter and the saucer is 1 inch tall and 5.25 inches in diameter.
