Thuringia Scenic Knife #2

This is a superb knife most likely made in the Thuringia region of Germany in the late 18th century or early 19th century. The knife handle is made of hard paste porcelain and is hand painted with two superb scenes - one with a lady in it on one side and one with a gentleman on the other. The porcelain itself has four sections with grooves in between. The quality of the painting is top notch. The metal parts are steel but they are later replacements likely late 19th century! The metal does not go all the way through the handle which is a good clue to figure out the maker. The knife is in good condition with the handle having two hairline cracks that are stable and about 1 inch long coming down from the metal side. The piece is unmarked or at least not visibly marked which is always the case. The knife is 8.5 inches long of which the handle is about 3.375 inches.
