Puce Scenic Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer made by a Hoechst around 1790. Apparently this exact letter and number mark is a known mark used by them during this period. Both pieces are handpainted with a superb puce scene of very high quality with trees, a bridge, a few people, etc. The cup has two scenes on it with boats. Gold trim to the edges and handle. The set is in good condition with very tight hairline to the saucer that can only be seen at the right angle with the right light and some wear to the gold trim and a bit on the saucer scene. Both pieces are marked with impressed marks - the cup has H1 under it and the saucer 2M. The cup is 1.875 inches tall and 3.25 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
