Kloster Veilsdorf Coffee Pot

This is a porcelain coffee pot made by Kloster Veilsdorf of Germany in the late 18th century. The pot is handpainted with the famous strawflower design or Strohblumen motif that many people somehow mistake for blue onion :) This was a popular design as well back then. It also has the ribbed design to the paste which is very common in the Thuringia area makers. The pot is marked underneath with a blue clover leaf as well as an incised line. It is in great condition with a hairline across the bottom of the handle and a tiny chip to the side of the spout. The pot is 7 inches tall and 3.75 inches in diameter.
