Clobbered Lid

This is a lid made by Royal Vienna in the later 18th century. It is hand painted with a typical under glaze blue design and was then painted with polychrome flowers and gilding outside the factory. A very common thing to find on this style which it is called Clobbered. The lid also has a nice pear shaped finial with its leaves. The piece good condition with a small chip to mainly the udnerside edge as shown. The lid is about 1 inch tall and 2.625 inches in diameter. The OD of the foot that would fit into the opening of the main body has a diameter of 2 inches. Not marked since lids never were but definitely by this maker from this period.
