Cobalt Blue & Fancy Gilding Saucer

This is a really nice porcelain saucer made by Royal Vienna in about 1796. It is hand painted with deep cobalt blue ground color with some amazing gold trim to the rim in the form of grape vines with hanging baskets and a central white leaf garland that is either done in Limoges enamel or pate sur pate with gold highlights - hard to tell but more likely Limoges enamel. One of the nicest saucers I ahve seen in a while. The piece is in great condition with a small chip to mostly the outside edge - shown from two views! The dish is 5.25 inches in diameter and just over 1 inch tall. It is marked with the underglaze blue shield mark as well as an impressed 96 as the date code, an impressed 32 adn a blue number 28. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $399
