Early Black Scenic Teapot

This is a superb scenic teapot with its lid made by Royal Vienna in about 1760 so quite early. It is handpainted with two nice landscape scenes in mostly black each with two small figures in them that wear some colored clothing. There are also some small flowers scattered throughout as well as some nice gold trim around the spout, handle, bottom and top rim. The lid is also handpainted with three small flowers and some nice gold trim with a pear finial with its leaves. It is nice to have the original lid with these types of pieces! The pot is in great condition with a firing crack (that does not go through!) by the bottom handle attachment and one above the spout attachment as well as to the side which have tried to meet with a hairline in between them as shown. There is a little wear to the gilding and a small shallow chip to the tip of the spout and the bottom of the footring as well as the inside top rim where the lid sits as shown. The teapot is 4.5 inches tall, 7.5 inches from handle to spout end and about 4.5 inches in diameter. The bottom is marked with the underglaze beehive as well as an impressed i.
