Lidded Floral Tankard

This is a great piece for your beer next weekend :) A superb tankard with its original lid made by Royal Vienna in the 18th century before theiy used their year marks so pre 1783. The tankard is hand painted with a floral arrangement to either side as well as some smaller flowers, puce trim to the handle, nice floral finial to the lid and an odd brownish trim to the edges. The tankard is in great condition with a firing crack to the foot as shown and some chipping to the finial which is to be expected. The piece is 7.25 inches tall and 3.875 inches in diameter. It is marked with the underglaze blue shield mark as well as an impressed 40, a puce P.15. and an impressed 4 or 2 (hard to tell) underneath. Please email me for more information or photos.
