Greek Saying Saucer

This is a rare saucer made by Royal Vienna in 1837 (I think but it is hard to see the numbers!). The saucer is handpainted with a superb green ground color and has a gold trim to the edge but the best part is something I ahve not seen before - in the center thre is a saying in Greek which I do believe is by Sophocles . Had it translated with the help of a Greek buddy of mine and it says something along the lines of this: The rational soul who believes (and acts like) the law is better (stronger) finding of any. Doesn't make total sense but we get the idea :) In all the years collecting porcelain I have never seen Greek writing on European porcelain. Probably a special order piece! The saucer is marked with a faint impressed beehive (shield) mark in the center, an incised C type mark near the rim, the impressed numbers 837 (I think) and another impressed number though I cannot make it out - might be 79. The saucer is in perfect condition. It is 1 inch tall and 6 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
