Cobalt & Gold Trim Floral Cup & Saucer

This is a stunning cup and saucer made by Royal Vienna in the 18th century - 1784 to be more exact - the beginning of the Sorgenthal period. Both pieces are hand painted with a great cobalt blue and fancy gold trim with small floral arrangements as well as single flowers filling in the white areas perfectly. Nice branch handle shape also highlighted with some nice gilding. One of the more stunning cups I have seen by them in a while! The set is in great condition with some minor wear to the gilding but about as good as you could hope for! The cup is 2.875 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.375 inches in diameter. The bottom of both is marked with the blue beehive / shield mark as shown. The cup has an impressed number 3 under it while the saucer has a faint 84 impressed, an incised N or Z and a black 48 as the painter's mark. Please email me for more information or photos.
