Tankard

This is a superb tankard made by Royal Vienna in about 1770. It is handpainted with two superb floral arrangements (one on each side), lots of small flowers, a great gold and red garland on both the top and the bottom and lots of gold trim all over (top, bottom and inside). The gilded handle has a nice shape as well. The tankard is in great condition with three small outside rim chips to the top and some wear to the gilding mostly on the top rim. One of the larger floral arrangements has a few light scratches on it. The piece is 5.5 inches tall and 3.25 inches in diameter. It is marked with the underglaze blue shield mark as well as an impressed 39, a puce i4 and an incised 1A underneath. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $1999
